Top Club

The Top Club is a knockout competition with teams of  eleven competing in five different formats.

2026

Being able to enter again this year, the team was:

2 wood fours - Carol Pawson, Christine McWee, John Archbold & Dave Chapman

3 wood triples - Angie Archbold, Pauline Beecroft & Mark Summerscales

Mixed pairs - Emma Oates & Shaun Slator

4 wood singles - Doug McWee

2 wood singles - Su Armstrong

The team's first game was away at Thirsk. It was a friendly match but sadly we lost four of the five rinks. 

2025

Unfortunately, the club was unable to raise a team this year but hopes to compete again next year.

2024

The team was:

2 wood fours - Angie Archbold, Emma Oates, Steve Roberts & Dave Chapman

3 wood triples - Susie Whistler, Rex Whistler & Pete Darbyshire

Mixed pairs - Robin Filippi & Pauline Beecroft

4 wood singles - Danny May

2 wood singles - Sally Scott

They beat Dunnington in the first round , Tockwith in the second but lost to Shipton in the semi-finals away on a very difficult green. Despite this, it has been a very successful first time in this competition. Well done everyone!
